Can you make your reader feel an emotion when they read your writing? That is the goal of today's short writing assignment.
The first three buttons below will give you some ideas for a story or scene you might write. Click until you have an idea, and don't be afraid to think of your own ideas, if the buttons don't inspire you.
Then...press the fourth button until you find a mood for your story or scene. Your goal in writing is to make your reader feel the mood you choose when they read your final copy. Choose a mood carefully.
Your teacher will give you a brainstorming sheet to help you think about ways to set a mood before you write. Through details and words you carefully choose when preparing to write you can successfully add mood to a story or scene.
