"I Will Remember You" sung by Sarah McLachlan

Overview of this Lesson:

In this lesson, students will be exploring self image. They will be analyzing how they would like to ultimately be remembered by writing a eulogy, inspired by Sarah McLachlan's I Will Remember You. They will then explore a change that they would like to make in their lives by listening to Man in the Mirror and If You Want to Sing out and writing a re-birth announcement for themselves. 6-Trait Overview for this Lesson:

The focus trait for this activity is idea development; students will self-reflect and then "show" themselves to their readers through writing. The support trait is voice; Students will capture the appropriate tone or mood in their writing while showing passion for their topic.
