Student Writer Instructions:

What season brings out the best moods in you? Maybe summer, because you're out of school?

For this writing assignment, you will be writing about a true summertime memory from your own past. In telling your reader about the memory, you will also show him/her what emotions you felt, and you will attmept to make him/her feel the same emotions with your words.

Over the course of this lesson, you will be doing quick-writes on several summertime memories. If you have any trouble coming up with specific memories of past summers to write about, use the interactive button below to spark your brain.

Ideas for Your Quick-writes:

Does this word/phrase make you think of a true summertime memory?

If your students brainstorm good summertime words and phrases not included in the button game above, please send them to us at webmaster@writingfix.com.
Please write "summertime" in your e-mail's subject line.
