Mechanical Monsters

creating a futuristic pet with Fahrenheit 451's inspiration

Student Writer Instructions:

Inspired by Ray Bradbury's description of a futuristic dog in his novel, Fahrenheit 451, you will pretend it is ten, twenty, or fifty years in the future.

Select a pet that is available today, and write a a description of what this pet will be like in the future.

As you write, keep looking at the writing style of Mr. Bradbury, who is a great describer. Can you include a few descriptions that would make the author pleased with your work?
