Three-Sentence Overview of this Lesson:
From Kelly Nott: "I bought this book for my husband as a Christmas gift and after we read the book with our children we were both inspired to have our students write new story endings using either the girl’s or boy’s point of view."
After listening to the first 12 pages of the book Once Upon a Cool Motorcycle Dude, students will discuss story elements leading them to develop their own solution to the story’s problem. Students will then generate their own alternative endings based upon their chosen solution that must use story elements and link back to the beginning of the story.
