Vocabulary on the Runway: Jubilant
by Maddie, fourth grade writer

Jubliant (adj): joyful and triumphant; elated; rejoicing

"Next on the runway comes Jubilant in her pink, silk dress with the definition of jubilant painted happily across it.

"Get a load of that cape, too, I mean, just look at it! With its smiley faces and suns all over it, and those smiley face shoes. WOW!"


Vocabulary on the Runway: Glittering
by Abigail, fifth grade writer

Glittering (adj): sparkling like diamonds

“WOW! Look at this one coming down the runway. It is breathtaking! The dress is illuminated because of all the sparkles. I love the V neck in the front and the back. The model just looks stunning in this piece. Look at that turn!"

Glittering pauses at the end of the runway, and she whips around flipping her hair.

"I thought it couldn’t get any better, but it just did! This glamorous piece was designed by Lightning Bolt, and it is called 'Glamorous Glittering.' It is a winner, Madame Bolt! Your dress sure does glitter."

 

Vocabulary on the Runway: Misfortune
by Annie, sixth grade writer

Misfortune (noun): a piece of bad luck; unlucky accident

"As the elegant Misfortune struts down the runway with a beautiful caution tape scarf and a wonderful dress, she trips and people laugh. The dress is filled with a stormy designs and looks like a huge, looming wave.

"Her black cat handbag compliments her wonder-filled dress. The high heals have exquisite deco. This piece is modeled by Remi Saffron and made by fabulous Ooops, Inc."
