About WritingFix: Lesson Portfolios from Northern Nevada Writing Project Teacher Consultants
lessons and ideas from some of WritingFix's best contributors

Each summer, fifteen new teachers become consultants with the Northern Nevada Writing Project by taking the NNWP's Invitational Summer Institute. The ISI is a powerful 5-credit course that inspires its participants to become the best writing teachers they can. In Nothern Nevada, the ISI has been run for over thirty years, and the number of teacher consultants (TCs) the course has created is large.

Each year, the NNWP offers many special opportunities to its TCs to continue their quests to become even sronger writing teachers. Since 2001, NNWP TCs have been offered special workshops where they can post some of their best lesson ideas here at the WritingFix website. Many of these TCs--once their lessons have been posted--become presenters at our inservice courses or our other worksops for teachers.

On this page, we provide direct links to the lessons at WritingFix created by graduates of the Northern Nevada Writing Project's Invitational Summer Institute.
