2006-present: NWRPDP Grants

Since 2006, we have been very lucky to have a strong working relationship with Nevada's Northwest Regional Professional Development Program. The NWRPDP has granted the NNWP funding, which went to co-sponsoring workshops that subsequently built on-line resources at WritingFix. Here is a list of the pages we've built, all co-sponsored by NWRPDP funding:

We expect to maintain a long relationship with the NWRPDP, provided it continues to receive funding from the Nevada Legislature.

2008-2009: The iPod Grant

In November of 2007, the Washoe County School District's Educational Technology Department combined forces with the Northern Nevada Writing Project to outline a new lesson-building workshop for Washoe County teachers. In February of 2008, the first workshop was conducted. During the 2008-2009 school year, we hosted four workshops for interested teachers, and each participant received an iPod in exchange for creating a lesson that used incorporated the technology.

2006-2007: AT & T Grant

In Fall 2006, the Washoe Education Foundation gave a $25,000 AT & T educational technology grant to the Northern Nevada Writing Project to help them create and host five 16-hour new workshops in Northern Nevada between January and May of 2007. The online resource page and the workshop we designed because of their grant remains one of the most popular destinations for teachers at the WritingFix website.

2005-2006: SBC Grant

In Fall 2005, the Washoe Education Foundation and the SBC Corporation (now AT & T) became our first corporate sponsor of the WritingFix website, and our website grew thanks to their generosity. The online resource page and the workshop we designed because of their grant remains one of the most popular destinations for teachers at the WritingFix website.

2001-present: NNWP Grant Support

In April 2001, the Northern Nevada Writing Project began including in its annual budget monetary support for the maintaining and future growth of the WritingFix website. Each year, the NNWP pays for WritingFix's server space, for all software needed to keep the website functioning, for online services (like our site-sponsored ning) and a nominal stipend for the WritingFix webmaster.
