Writer Instructions:
Diamantes are poems that form a diamond-shape, and they are often about two opposite ideas. Here is a map on how to make one:
- Line 1: one noun
- Line 2: two adjectives - describe & agree the adjectives with the noun in line 1
- Line 3: three verbs as modifiers (infinitives or participles) - describe the noun in line 1
- Line 4: four nouns - the first two nouns are synonymous with the noun in line 1; the other two nouns are synonymous with the noun in line 7
- Line 5: three verbs as modifiers (infinitives or participles) - describe the noun in line 7
- Line 6: two adjectives- describe & agree the adjectives with the noun in line 7
- Line 7: one noun - a noun that is the opposite of the noun in line 1

Write to topics of your choosing using a DIAMANTE. Really try to include unique adjectives and verbs in your finished poem.
